Luna Volleyball Academy trains young volleyball players from Frisco at our High Performance Center in Plano, about 25 minutes from most of Frisco. Kids in grades 3 to 8 can start with no tryouts and no experience, and club players can add strength, jump and skill training on weeknights.
Frisco has some of the most competitive school volleyball programs in North Texas. Many Frisco players come to LVA in grades 3 to 8 to build real fundamentals before middle school and club tryouts, and club players add Flight School strength and jump training on top of their club practice.
Training is led by Carlos Luna, founder and director of LVA, a 2008 Beijing Olympian who played 15 years of professional volleyball in 10 countries. He coaches alongside Leo Colina, Elite Head Coach, a Tokyo 2020 qualifier and FIVB Beach professional, and a staff of LVA-trained club coaches.
Programs for every level
Brand new or still learning: DVA (grades 3 to 8)
The Developmental Volleyball Academy is our entry point. No tryouts and no cuts. Players train Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM in short seasons that end with real Game Days, and coaches group athletes by skill level on the court. Families can try a single session for $35 before committing to a season.
Athletic performance: Flight School
Strength, movement and jump training that makes volleyball skills explosive, for players of all levels. Flight School runs November through April, Monday to Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 PM. New athletes build movement and tendon resilience, and club athletes chase vertical and power.
One on one: private lessons
Private lessons with LVA coaches for players who want focused work on one skill.

Getting here from Frisco
Most Frisco families take the Sam Rayburn Tollway (SH 121) east to US 75 south, or the Dallas North Tollway to President George Bush Turnpike. Plan on about 25 minutes outside of rush hour.
