The 3-Day Arc

Two Days of Prep.
One Day That Feels Like the Real Thing.

Every session is run by 2008 Beijing Olympian Carlos Luna and LVA staff at a guaranteed 1:8 coach-to-athlete ratio.

Day 1 · Prep

Skill Foundation

Serving, passing, setting, and attacking — heavy reps with individual correction, finished with 6v6 game play.

Day 2 · Prep

Position & Systems

Serve receive, position work, and game systems under tryout-style scoring. More 6v6 to prepare for Day 3.

Day 3 · The Main Event

The Mock Tryout

A full school-tryout simulation: check-in, numbered pinnies, a scored skills evaluation and a scored game evaluation. Coaches take structured notes on every athlete.

The Tryout Report Card

Every full-camp athlete leaves with a written one-page evaluation: strengths, gaps, an honest read on her chances of making the cut, and exactly what to work on before the real tryout.

The Parent Huddle

Day 3 closes with 15 minutes with Carlos: what school coaches actually look for, and the development path after tryouts — whichever way they go.

We Put Our Coaching Where Our Mouth Is

The Made-The-Team Guarantee

Complete all three days, and if your daughter doesn't make her school team, LVA keeps coaching her free in DVA Fall until Game Day 1. No fine-print gymnastics. A prepared athlete who gets cut deserves a place to keep developing — and we provide it.

This camp does not guarantee your child will make the school team. What it does is prepare her as much as possible — physically, mentally, technically, and tactically — to maximize her chances of making it.

Frequently Asked

Will this guarantee my daughter makes the team?

No — and we won't pretend otherwise. It prepares her as much as possible physically, mentally, technically, and tactically to maximize her chances. And if she completes all three days and doesn't make it, our Made-The-Team Guarantee means she trains free in DVA Fall until Game Day 1.

My daughter has never played. Can she come?

Yes — all levels, no cuts. Athletes are grouped by experience on separate courts.

What happens on mock tryout day?

A full simulation of a school tryout: check-in, numbered pinnies, a scored skills evaluation and a scored game evaluation. She leaves with a written Tryout Report Card — strengths, gaps, an honest read, and what to work on — emailed to you within 24 hours after Day 3.

What if we can't make all three days?

Drop-in is $79/day. The Report Card and guarantee require all three days — they depend on three days of evaluation.

Do siblings get a discount?

Yes — registering more than one athlete? Use code SIBLING10 at checkout for 10% off camp registrations.

Which week should we pick?

Week 1 (Aug 4–6) preps before school starts. Week 2 (Aug 11–13) sharpens during tryout week — or after results. Both camps run 6:00–8:00 PM, and both weeks together is the strongest prep — 10% off.

Who's coaching?

Carlos Luna, 2008 Beijing Olympian, on court every session — plus LVA staff at a guaranteed 1:8 ratio.

How does the DVA credit work?

$100 of your camp fee applies to DVA Fall enrollment through Aug 14 — whichever way tryouts go, there's a development path.
