Our Mission
To provide high-quality volleyball opportunities with integrity and dignity to help our players and coaches reach their full potential.
Our Vision
To see our athletes, not only excel in Club Volleyball, but also competing at the highest level. We want to see our players continuing their volleyball careers in College, going Pro and even representing Team USA in international competitions such as the Olympics.
Our Philosophy
Playing at a high-level takes arduous work, sacrifice, and teamwork. To be the best, we must beat the best. Our motto is “Prepare for the impossible, hope for the best”. The impossible favor the teams with the stronger desire for winning. We take every rep as if it’s the last point of the game, whether we are playing a championship game or doing a simple pepper drill at practices.
Our Method
We develop players 360-degrees. We want our players to grow to their maximum and refine the skills they need to play at the highest level. We do so by working hard and smart both on and off the court. This includes providing complementary resources such as nutrition, recovery, performance training, and mental training among others. We practice deliberately and intentionally using every rep to improve individually and as a team.
The LVA Statement
We respect ourselves, our teammates, our coaches, and our opponents. We have integrity in our actions and are pure in our intentions. We have consistency between our words and our actions, thoughts, choices, values and behaviors (Matthew 22:39).
We are faithful. We show our faith by working hard. We seek discomfort in practices and make our best effort in every rep. We prepare for the impossible and hope for the best. (Hebrews 11: 1).
We are patient. We master the volleyball fundamentals and the basics of the game. We focus on the process, not the outcome (win or lose). We briefly analyze our mistakes and keep moving toward our goals. We respond positively to adversity, knowing that adversity is not our destiny (James 5:7).
We support each other. We trust each other, and we openly communicate with each other. We are open to kindly giving feedback to each other (Romans 12: 9,10).
We are humble. Without God, we can’t do anything. We humble ourselves so that God manifests his power in our weakness (tiredness, pain, injury, challenging game situations…) (Philippians 4:13 | 1 Peter 5: 6-7).
We are hard-working people. We give it all on the court. We run the extra mile whenever needed (physically, technically, mentally, and emotionally). We hustle. We play controlled aggressively; we compete at our best (Colossians 3: 23-24 | 1 Corinthians 10:13 | 2 Corinthians 12: 9).
We ALL are leaders. We all have a role on and off the court. We ALL are essential parts of the whole – the team (1 Corinthians 12:12-27).
We take Ownership. We make no excuses. We challenge ourselves – as a team and as an individual. We seek out quality by deliberately practicing. We use every rep to improve our game! (1 Corinthians 9: 24).
We have fun. We ALWAYS have a positive attitude. We take every opportunity to enjoy what we do on and off the court (1 Thessalonians 5:11)
We take risks. Good mistakes are welcome. We do not regret trying to execute the skills the right way. We take our shots fearless (Joshua 1:9)
Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!
(1 Corinthians 9:24)
